Bran Muffins Delicious Breakfast Meal

Do you like eating breakfast?   Then, these bran muffins are very delicious to start your day.   There are 81 calories.   Total fat is 3 grams.   Furthermore, saturated fat and trans fat are 0 grams.  In addition, cholesterol is 0 mg.  Sodium is 30 mg.  Total Carbohydrate is 16 grams.  Dietary Fiber is 3 grams.  Sugar is zero.  Plus, protein is 2 grams. 

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup egg substitute
  • 1 cup 1% milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cups bran flakes
  • 1 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1/3 cup Splenda Sweetner
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • vegetable oil spray

Instructions:

First, preheat oven to 400 degrees.  Then, spray oil 12 muffin cups or line with paper.  In medium bowl, combine egg substitute, milk, oil and bran flakes.  In large bowl, combine flour, Splenda, baking powder and salt.  Furthermore, add cereal mixture stirring until moist.  In addition, divide evenly among muffin cups.  In conclusion, bake 20 minutes or until light brown.  

Serves 12. 

Now you will need something to drink.  Just be careful about sugar amount.

Fruit Smoothie

Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup frozen fruit
  • 1/2 cup fat-free plain yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 packets artificial sweetener

Instructions:

  • Blend the first three ingredients until smooth.
  • Sweeten to taste.
