- 1/4 chopped onions
- 3 Tbsp. margarine
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. chicken broth
- 2 c. cubed, cooked chicken or turkey
- cooked or canned peas 1 cup
- 1 (3 oz.) can sliced mushrooms, drained
- cooked, sliced carrots 1 cup
- 2 Tbsp. chopped pimiento
- 1 pkg. refrigerated biscuits (or pastry strips)
First start by cooking onions in butter until tender. Second, blend in flour and salt then add the broth. Furthermore, you are now ready to cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. While adding chicken and vegetables bring to a boil. Now, pour into a 1 1/2 quart casserole. Afterward, cut 6 biscuits in quarters and arrange in ring (rounded side down) atop hot chicken. Of course, you may line top with pastry. Finally, bake casserole at 425 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes or until biscuits are done. As a result, this makes about 6 servings.
